Scientific research and business have always gone hand in hand. \nOne being at the service of the other, it is quite obvious that the two \nsectors use mutually. The University of Montreal, at the forefront of \nintelligence research has benefited from recognition by the Canadian \ngovernment of its role essential with a check for $100 million to support \nresearch in the domain. Another even juicier support of equivalent value \nif not more, comes from industrial partners.\n\nThe research at the University of Montreal is embodied by a pioneer in the\ndomain. His name is Joshua Bengio. He was born in Paris, France. He's from\nMoroccan. He is a professor in the computer science department of the University \nof Montreal and he is both a specialist in artificial intelligence and a pioneer \nin deep learning. Deep Learning is a learning technique based on neural networks.\n\nJoshua Bengio is the pioneer. He is one of three great researchers who have\nattracted significant interest in artificial intelligence. \nThe others are Yann Lecun who is a professor at New York University and \na scientific collaborator of Facebook, and also the professor from Toronto, \nGeoffrey Hinton who is at the same time researcher at Google. \nAll this research and the experts of this work do advance businesses.\n\nAccording to an article by Laurent Charlin published in the CAIRN, this amount \nrecorded by the Institute for Data Valorization of the University of Montreal \nwill have to contribute to the synergy between the university and Montreal \nindustries. Of the research in artificial intelligence will therefore be directed \ntowards the design of industrial application. According to several experts in \nthe field, an ecosystem Montreal industrialist in artificial intelligence is \nstarting to push gently. All happens very quickly. \nFor example, two years were enough for recent phones to be equipped with \nspeech recognition algorithms.\n\nArtificial intelligence algorithms are not only reserved for\nlarge companies. Large numbers of small businesses use\nartificial intelligence. Many of them offer a product that\ncomes from AI. A few years ago, artificial intelligence was only used\nrarely. They were using it just to improve what already existed.\n\nThe collection and storage of information is actually work that takes care of\nany company, regardless of size, and operating in different fields.\nArtificial intelligence has made significant advances recently, which offer the\npossibility of applying algorithms to this vast data to extract\nimportant information. Recent methods are often used to\nimprove the algorithm performance of a previous generation.\n\nArtificial Intelligence allows automation in decision-making. Of the\nartificial intelligence techniques make automation a way to extract\nof knowledge for the intended purposes. These predictions are then used to\nmake better decisions. As an example if we refer to the preferences\nknown to customers, we can know the order size for each item\navailable and the personal offer intended for each client. \nThere are other algorithms that can authorize predictions and decisions. \nTrams, metros or Driverless cars are a good example of this kind of system. \nThis genre automation is increasingly studied in academia.\n\nResearch continues and at unprecedented speed.
